Economic Inclusion Assistant - Guyana

Department: HIAS Guyana
Location(s): On-Site - Georgetown, Guyana

HIAS Guyana seeks to recruit an Economic Inclusion Caseworker who will support Economic Inclusion activities. In particular, the officer will: Implement the Economic Inclusion component, ensuring adherence to project goals. Develop training components, support vocational training, and coordinate economic inclusion initiatives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Carry out the technical, monitoring and financial implementation of the Economic Inclusion component, in accordance with the project's objectives, complying with the established operational plan.
• Develop the training components related to basic administrative skills for the development of projects, using the methodology of the Entrepreneurship School with a Gender Lens.
• Recommend vocational training processes and skills development based on the participants' profiles in coordination with local organizations.
• Provide advice and monitoring in the preparation and execution of business plans
• Promote the creation of marketing networks for products and services that emerge from various entrepreneurship programs.
• Provide advice and follow-up in the development and execution of business plans.
• Support the development of partnership agreements with private sector key stakeholders for implementation of economic inclusion programs, particularly but not exclusively focusing on women´s empowerment, economic inclusion for LGBTIQ+ and both urban and rural environments.
• Regularly monitor and report on economic inclusion programming, identifying capacity gaps and designing appropriate interventions.
• Carry out administrative duties related to the project objectives and Economic Inclusion indicators which include monthly reports, case files and any other duties that may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
• University degree or equivalent in Business management, Marketing, Social Work or other related studies.
• Current residency in Guyana
• At least 1-2 years’ experience in implementation of entrepreneurship programs.
• Fluency in Spanish and English is required (written and oral)
• Ability to uphold the highest level of integrity and confidentiality.
• Excellent computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to analyze information and evaluate options including planning skills
• Must be a team player and able to work with a range of diverse, vulnerable populations.
• Ability to travel in country.
