Economic Inclusion Assistant - Aruba

Department: HIAS Aruba
Location(s): On-Site - Oranjestad, Aruba

HIAS seeks an Economic Inclusion Assistant to support the economic inclusion department to implement the activities and daily administrative tasks related to the CV generating app managed by HIAS. The person will be responsible for communicating with participants, encouraging them to participate in services available.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Oversee the implementation of the activities related to the CV generating app. Especially guiding the participants in filling in their information and host information sessions.
2. Assist in follow up with participants on engaging in the economic inclusion activities.
3. Assist in constant and accurate upkeeping of data (physical and electronic) to reflect the status of persons of concern by checking that all data fields are filled in properly; manages and updates participants’ files, as necessary. (On-going process)
4. Assist in producing and dissemination of information related to economic inclusion.
5. Assist in planning and executing workshops and events, online seminars, and information nights on key topics.
6. Assist in reporting the impact of the program and provide information about the challenges and opportunities presented.
7. Collaborate with inter-departmental activities.
8. Performs other duties, as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
? Professional with experience in development process and social/humanitarian work or human resources.
? Strong motivation for humanitarian work, service-oriented mindset, and sense of accountability
? Demonstrated ability to think creatively and critically.
? Ability to work within a team structure or independently, flexible, and can cope with stressful workloads and working with limited resources.
? Able to think outside of the box for sustainable community-based solutions and work with an empowerment and development approach.
? Sense of initiative and capacity to work autonomously at the office.
? Able to self-troubleshoot when issues arise or have a solution-based mind-set to approaching new challenges.
? Excellent time-management skills to accurately allocate the needed time during tasks and able to rapidly move on to the next one.
? Fluency in Spanish and English is required, Papiamento and Dutch are an advantage.
? Excellent computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
? Attention to detail during data entry to ensure data quality.
? Ability to uphold the highest level of integrity and confidentiality.
? Passionate about HIAS’ mission and values.
? Position open to persons with a valid working permit in Aruba
