Program Coordinator, Social Integration

POSITION SUMMARY:

HIAS seeks a Program Coordinator, Social Integration to provide administrative and programmatic support for the Social Integration team, in close collaboration with the Program Manager, Community-Based Group Services. The Program Coordinator, Social Integration will support the collection of data related to the Preferred Communities and other holistic programs implemented and managed by the Social Integration team. This may involve working with HIAS affiliates to disseminate surveys, collect and analyze data and ensure accurate and timely data reporting. Additionally, they will be responsible for cleaning and organizing the collected data to ensure its quality and reliability. They will also provide technical support to the HIAS affiliate network. This support may involve troubleshooting data collection and reporting issues and assisting with data-related queries. This position also engages with HIAS’ headquarters support departments, HIAS Affiliates across the country, U.S. National Resettlement Agencies (RAs) and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality and responsive refugee programming across the HIAS network.

Note, this is a temporary position that starts ASAP and ends September 29, 2025, with possible extension. The salary for this position is $60,000.00-65,000.00.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for collection, cleaning and reporting program data relevant to different Social Integration programs, including complementary projects funded by corporate or private donors.
  • Communicates with HIAS affiliates to verify the accuracy of data and gather missing information.
  • Provides data on the Preferred Communities program and other holistic programs to the Executive Leadership Team, as well as the Policy & Advocacy, Communications and Development departments as needed.
  • Provides technical support to the HIAS affiliate network, which may include troubleshooting data collection and reporting issues, providing guidance on data management best practices, and assisting with data-related queries.
  • Works with Social Integration staff to maintain and update monitoring tools as new guidance is received from ORR, in order to assess affiliate partner compliance with the requirements of the PC Guidelines.
  • Works with Social Integration staff to update forms and documentation related to Social Integration programming as needed.
  • Assists Program Managers in conducting program monitoring, writing reports and providing targeted trainings on the findings.
  • Assists Program Managers in advertising and coordinating trainings ensuring program quality and reach across the network; reports on trends and disseminates training across HIAS.
  • Participates in Social Integration’s MEAL efforts; including documenting knowledge, skills and behavior in key outcome areas related to Preferred Communities and other Social Inclusion programs.
  • Assists Social Integration leadership and other Social Integration staff with data collection and analysis for monthly and semi-annual reports to ORR, as well as reporting to private funders.
  • Assists with creating materials (program forms and documentation, promotional materials, curriculums and more) and adapting them for different linguistic and cultural groups in the HIAS network.
  • Assists with reviewing, reconciling and approving program invoices.
  • Provides support for other social integration program functions as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Undergraduate degree required, ideally in Social Sciences, Information Systems or related field.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience connected to data analytics.
  • Experience using data visualization tools, such as PowerBI or Tableau.
  • Knowledge of U.S. Refugee Program required; previous work experience at a national resettlement agency or resettlement affiliate is an asset.
  • Previous personal experience with refugee resettlement or migration will bring a valuable perspective to this role.
  • Excellent computer skills, including data entry and data analysis; proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Knowledge of Apricot, client case management database system is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to maintain key relationships with program staff at HIAS affiliates and other national voluntary agencies.
  • Well-organized and detail-oriented; ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Self-starter able to manage and carry out varied functions of multi-faceted program.
  • Travel, to include travel to insecure operating environments, may be required.
